A case will also be made that to pursue speciesist arguments leads to unnatural and disturbing ethical interpretations as well as the shirking of our responsibilities towards nonhuman animal life, and we will then conclude by considering the idea that taking a more humane approach to nonhuman animals might help us take a more humane approach to one another. “Speciesism” is a technical term belonging to philosophy, just as “quantum entanglement” is a technical phrase belonging to physics. It starts by defining speciesism as the unjustified disadvantageous consideration or treatment of those who are not classified as belonging to a certain species. It then clarifies some common misunderstandings concerning what this means. Next, it rejects the idea that there are different kinds of speciesism.

I focus Speciesism is the idea that a species of animal has a prejudice or bias in favor of the interests of its own members and against the members of another species. Speciesism is to different animals The view that anthropocentric positions in ethics are invariably committed to speciesism, so unjustifiably blind to the claims of non-humans, is, I believe, unconvincing. Anthropocentrism views ethics as created by or dependent on human action; speciesism builds a preference for human beings into substantive ethical views. 'Speciesism' is an ethical term popularised in Singer's 1975 Animal Liberation, and earlier coined by animal rights advocate Richard D Ryder. Singer defines speciesism as, “a prejudice or attitude of bias in favor of the interests of members of one's own species and against those of members of other species.” If you don't know what speciesism is, not only will this post explain what speciesism is, but it will show you if you are speciesist or not. I was one of the worst speciesists. Thankfully, I have thought about this long enough to see why this was wrong and what I must do to change.
